This international airport is situated on the very border of France, Switzerland and Germany. With Strasbourg, the airport is very well connected by train - approximately 90 min. trip will get you to Basel (or vice versa) where you can get local bus no. 50 to the airport. The bus leaves from the Swiss part of the main train station and the journey to the airport lasts about 20 min. A small, but very useful tip - ticket must be paid in Swiss francs so be sure to change the money before you take the bus (the change machines can be found in the main railway station).
You can also take an airport navette from Mulhouse (France) which takes off from the main train station but which is not good for very early flights as it doesn't function before 8:00 AM.
